The Small Talk Goes Global
Small Talks have become a must-do event in our fair city—a uniquely personal way to discover how other professionals work within our design community. But AIGA Chicago wondered: How could we take the concept further? In our ever-flattening world, can we glean similar perspectives from beyond our borders?
And a new idea was born: the International Small Talk.
We commissioned short videos from designers around the world. We asked them about the places and techniques they use to do their work, to collaborate, to create. We solicited a peek at their space and a taste of their vibe, delivered in whatever format they saw fit. Now we’re back with round two.
This year’s selections offer another eclectic jaunt around the globe. With a few clicks, you’ll find a variety of nationalities and media represented. Apart from a love of design, these films share another important trait: each depicts a singular creative vision.
