AIGA Chicago Student Enrichment Scholarship
Seniors, submit your best work! AIGA Chicago will award $3,000 to one graduating senior demonstrating particular promise transitioning into the professional work force. Our scholarship is intended to ease the progression from student to young professional. For instance, this award can offset the costs of attending a national conference, building a personal library of books or typefaces, purchasing equipment or software, or preparing your portfolio.
ELIGIBILITY:
• Open to senior graphic design students graduating in the 2010-2011 academic year regardless of major(this includes Decmebr 10 graduates).
• Applicant must be enrolled full time in a graphic design/visual communication design undergraduate program.
• Applicant must be a current AIGA Chicago student member. (Please note: you do NOT need to belong to an AIGA student group to apply.)
PLEASE SUBMIT:
• CD-ROM or jump drive containing a pdf of current representative work produced in a design class. (You may submit more than one image per project but no more than 20 images total.) Please label your materials clearly with your name and school affiliation. A very brief description of each assignment should be included in typed form, all on one page.
• A statement no longer than two pages describing your interest in design and how receiving the 2011 AIGA Chicago Student Enrichment Scholarship will impact your goals.
• A letter of recommendation from a professor in your program.
• Application form (sent via email) or a letter size paper with the following information: Student Name, School Name, Graduation Date, AIGA Member Number, Permanent Address, Phone Number and Email Address.

JUDGING:
AIGA Scholarship Selection Committee is Richard Zeid, Kelly Knaga, Bob
Faust and Gary Rozanc. Scholarship recipient will be notified once
judging has taken place and will be presented with the scholarship at
the AIGA Chicago Annual Meeting in June 2011.
