Over a five-decade career California typographer Doyald Young has been both doer and teacher, combining his design practice with a teaching position at the Art Center College of Design in Southern California, where he holds the title of Inaugural Master of the College. He will share his passion for typography in a visual presentation and discussion.

Young has specialized in the design of logotypes, corporate alphabets and typefaces. His hundreds of logotype designs are recognized worldwide for helping build the value of brands as diverse as Prudential Financial, Mattel Toys, Max Factor, Vidal Sassoon and even Liza Minnelli.

Each attendee will receive a copy of The Art of the Letter, a special publication showcasing examples of Young's work including various printing techniques-offset lithography, letterpress, engraving, blind embossing and foil stamping.
