Chicago Design Week 2010

CanStruction combines the competitive spirit of a design/build competition
with a unique way to help feed hungry people. Competing teams, led by architects and engineers, showcase their talents by designing giant sculptures. Teams
design and build structures made entirely from canned foods within a 10'x10'x8' space. All canned goods are donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository following Decanstruction.

AIGA Chicago's first event to kick off Chicago Design Week 2010 is a crowd-
juried show titled Peer Proof and hosted by Bob Faust. For the price of
admission, attendees can showcase their best work in several categories.

Work on display will be voted on by attendees. The winners within each category will be revealed and on display at the AIGA Chicago Annual Members Meeting
and published online.

The 2010 AIGA Chicago Annual Members Meeting will continue our tradition of honoring excellence in design within the Chicago design community. Kevin Lyons, Design Director of Anomaly, will be the event's keynote speaker. We will also be presenting our second annual AIGA Chicago Corporate Design Award to Morningstar, the Fellow Award to Arnold Goodwin and the 2010 Student Enrichment Scholarship Awards.
