Summer Interns for CPS

Chicago Public Schools' Education to Careers program is seeking summer intern hosts.

Providing Chicago high school students with a tangible vision of a career greatly increases the likelihood of their pursuing a college degree—a goal that, for many, currently seems elusive. The Mayor’s Summer Workforce Program is granting a limited number of subsidized positions for students interested in graphic design and related fields this summer.

Students would be expected to work 20 hours a week for 6 weeks beginning June 23 and ending August 1. Overall, Education to Careers would like to give their students an opportunity to shadow a professional who is completing related job duties that will encourage the students to aspire toward their goals. The experience should be both challenging and engaging for the students and beneficial to the employers as well.

If you would like additional information or to have your firm host an intern, please send your name, company represented, and contact information to info@aigachicago.org.
