There are currently nine student groups in the Chicago area, each consisting of ten or more AIGA student members. A faculty advisor on campus is designated as the coordinator of the group. That individual is recognized as an asset of the chapter by involving the students in  AIGA Chicago, programming for their own interests, and acting as the liaison between the student group and the chapter.
