Elle Luna

Elle Luna is a communication designer with extensive knowledge of visual communication strategy and design. She joined IDEO in 2007 where she has worked with such diverse clients as Kraft Foods, Barilla, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, the City of Chicago, Parsons New School of Design, and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Driven by the possibilities and opportunities within communication strategy, Elle is particularly inspired by storytelling and its unique ability to bring new-to-the-world ideas to life. Before joining IDEO, Elle worked in marketing, visual merchandising, retail design, and identity and brand design for such institutions as the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, and Oilily. Her graphic design work is featured in Stephen Heller's recent book, Design Studies: Theory + Research in Graphic Design, and her artwork has been exhibited in galleries in both Chicago and Nashville, Tennessee.

Elle received her Master of Fine Arts in Visual Communications from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she co-founded a design lecture series called “The 13th Floor” and started the School’s student chapter of the AIGA. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Vanderbilt University, and is currently the Editorial Chair for AIGA Chicago.
